David Weir is the Chair of trustees for FOMKI: son of FOMKI founder (Sylvia)
David is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Sussex, UK, and has an interest in the application of Artificial Intelligence for the social good.
Sara Price is a trustee and the secretary of FOMKI.
Sara is Professor of Digital Learning at University College London, UK, and has an interest in how emerging technologies can be effectively designed to support young learners.
Sam Weir is a trustee and the Treasurer of FOMKI. His grandmother (Sylvia) motivated him to continue her charity work in Mponegele.Sam works in FinTech in the City of London and enjoys cooking and sport in his spare time
Jon Jones is a FOMKI trustee. He supports fundraising opportunities alongside other trustees for FOMKI.
Jon joined FOMKI in 2019. He has a BSc in International Relations from the University of Sussex and an MSc in Middle East Politics from the School of Oriental and African Studies. He volunteered as a fundraiser in the Occupied Palestinian Territories with a Cultural Heritage organisation and has professional research experience in humanitarian action based in London. From these experiences, Jon has developed a keen interest in international affairs, development and relief work.
Marine D’Elloy de Bonninghen is a FOMKI trustee who has a focus on fundraising. Her studies in International Development and Development Economics fostered an interest in charity work.
She currently works as a Policy Advisor for international trade negotiations at the UK Government’s Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and has prior experience in climate change and industrial policy.
Gavin Weir is a FOMKI trustee. He is motivated to continue the work of his grandmother and founder of FOMKI Sylvia.
Gavin is a science teacher in the British state education system, in secondary education and teacher training. He has a strong belief that education has the potential to change the lives of young people.
