Welcome to FOMKI

We are a non-profit organisation that supports the Mponegele Ke Itirele centre in the Mankweg area of Limpopo province, South Africa.

About Us

FOMKI’s story

Friends of Mponegele Ke Itirele was set up in May 2002 to provide financial assistance in support of the work of the South African Mponegele Ke Itirele community project, which helps orphans and vulnerable children in South Africa. Since then, FOMKI has been working closely with committee members in South Africa, supporting their work in the Mankweng area and strengthening the impact on their community.

We currently support

70 children

By improving their access to basic needs such as food and clothing, education, career guidance and training. Children are mostly between 5 and 18 years old.

8 carers and staff

Who provide educational and emotional support, organise activities and training (such as computer literacy, sewing and art) and help run the the community centre.

Activities

Providing funds for equipment, services and activities that help the centre to become more self sufficient (e.g. growing and selling vegetables, fruits and bread).

100% of donations go directly to the centre!

Get involved

We would love to help more children and provide further assistance to those already at the center. Your support would be invaluable.
